SALEM A semi-truck that had gotten wedged under a railroad trestle in Marion County Tuesday morning was cleared by the evening.

The truck got stuck along Riverside Drive South just before 8 a.m. No one was injured.

The commercial truck driver was on his way to Independence from California. He told police that his GPS sent him along the route and he did not notice warning signs about the low bridge.

He was cited for violating the posted truck route.

Crews closed the section of River Road, to Skyline Road South, until the truck could be removed.
