Portland -- A 22-year-old man was injured Friday in a gang-related shooting in east Portland, and four people were arrested after dropping him off at the hospital, police said.

Police responded at about 8 p.m. to reports of shots fired near Northeast 122nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of the Portland Police Bureau.

Investigators believed that two people were shooting at each other from cars. By the time police arrived on the scene the suspects had fled, but officers found evidence of gunfire.

A short time later, Patrick Kimmons was admitted to Providence Medical Center with a gunshot wound not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Hospital officials told police a vehicle wth four people in it was associated with Kimmons, and officers pulled that vehicle over nearby.

All four occupants, 22-year-old Mascio Walker, 25-year-old Marico Camel-Harris, 21-year-old Isaiah Hassan and 26-year-old Romel Yarborough, were taken into custody on probation violations.

A gang enforcement team was investigating.
