SPRINGFIELD, Ore. (AP) -- The Oregon State Police says a Springfield man died Saturday after apparently jumping from an Interstate 5 overpass.

On Sunday morning, police identified the man as 21-year-old Benjamin Glantz.

Sgt. Mike Brewster says Glantz might have been hit by a white Ford pickup after landing on the freeway, and investigators are asking the driver of that vehicle to contact police.

Witnesses told police Glantz rode his bicycle to the overpass. He then got off his bike, climbed a chain-link fence and fell 25 feet onto the right northbound lane.

State troopers based in Springfield are investigating.
