EUGENE -- The pink Harley Davidson featured on ESPN Game Day and the Oregon game against Washington State is up for auction as a fundraiser for the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University.

The players have run onto Autzen Stadium for the last 16 years behind a Harley in Oregon colors. Team Latus Motors Harley Davidson provided the motorcycle for the cancer fundraiser and for regular Duck games.

The dealer has outlets in Gladstone and Eugene. The pink bike is on display in Gladstone. The opening bid is $16,350.

Bids must be made in person at either location, said Latus spokeswoman Samantha Brown. This ensures that each bid is authentic. Bidding ends on Jan. 6, the date of the BCS championship game.

The pink fatboy has been ridden twice, she said. It may appeal to a cancer survivor or rabid Harley fan.

The dealership is also holding a prostate cancer fundraiser called Novembeard, with prizes provided by Portland area businesses. Final judging will be Feb. 8.

Proceeds from both events will be donated to OHSU as part of the Phil and Penny Knight Challenge.
