HILLSBORO, Ore. A drunk driver who hit a teen on an Aloha sidewalk in April pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 5 years in prison Thursday.
On April 3, 25-year-old Bradley Gray of Beaverton fishtailed off Farmington Road in his BMW and slammed into Janae Doby, who was 17 at the time, deputies from the Washington County Sheriff s Office said.

After crashing into a power pole, Gray bolted from the car but was caught a short distance away by two witnesses.
Doby was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At Thursday s sentencing hearing in a Washington County Court, Gray tearfully addressed a now 18-year-old Doby and her family, apologizing for his crimes.
I wish and pray she will get better. I really hope so. I'm so sorry for everything that's happened. It's horrible, he said.
Doby listened to Gray's apology and said she was willing to forgive him.
I do forgive him. It wasn't a purposeful act. Yes he was under the influence, but even under the influence you still knew something isn't right, she told KGW after Thursday's sentencing.
