PORTLAND Police say no one was seriously injured in a two vehicle head-on crash in Southeast Portland Saturday night.

But a family member contacted KGW Sunday evening to say two people invovled in that accident are in the hospital, one in intensive care

Around 9 p.m., two trucks crashed near Southeast 32nd Avenue and Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.

The front of one pickup truck was badly damaged and at least two people were taken in an ambulance to the hospital.

The other vehicle, a large truck with a heavy brush guard in front, had minor damage to the front end.

Sgt. Pete Simpson with Portland police said there were no life threatening injuries in the crash.

Investigators were interviewing witnesses to determine the cause of the crash. Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard was closed for at least an hour.
