CAMAS, Wash. -- Tips from the public helped police find a Camas bank robbery suspect after surveillance photos were released Wednesday.

A man was caught on camera robbing the US Bank at 430 NE Adams Street Tuesday afternoon, but police at the scene did not find him.

The Camas Police Department released photos of the suspect and his car Wednesday morning and several tips came in immediately afterard, said Sgt. Scot Boyles. Within hours police learned the suspect was likely in Portland and found the vehicle he was driving.

Christopher A Arrington, 29, of Washougal, surrendered to police at around 5 p.m. He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail, awaiting extradition to Clark County, on one count of first-degree robbery.
