BATTLE GROUND, Wash. A Battle Ground teen who was hit by a car and went undiscovered for 90 minutes has been upgraded to satisfactory condition, hospital officials said.

Justin Carey, 16, was struck as he waited for a school bus on June 10. Investigators didn t know he had been hit until after they cleared the scene and a tow truck driver heard Carey crying for help.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with two broken legs. Sunday he underwent his fifth surgery to repair a severed artery in his right leg and his parents said he was released from the intensive care unit.

Carey's mother also said Monday that a ceremony would be held Wednesday at Clark County Fire & Rescue, in Ridgefield, to honor the man that saved her son.
