SISTERS, Ore. -- Search and rescue officials in central Oregon say a 16-year-old girl on a youth work crew doing trail maintenance in the Pole Creek area southwest of Sisters has been injured in a fall down a steep hill.

Deschutes County sheriff's officers tell KTVZ-TV that the teen was flown Tuesday afternoon to a Bend hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Rescuing her took nearly four hours.

The girl was not identified.
