CORBETT, Ore. -- Several crashes involving 25 vehicles closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 84 Monday afternoon.
Oregon State Police said it was raining heavily with standing water on the road when the cars were in five different crashes around 4 p.m. over a mile-and-a-half stretch of I-84, near the Corbett exit.
Memorial Day travelers were stuck in traffic for hours, with the road fully closed for 90 minutes. All lanes were reopened just after 7 p.m.
Three people were injured in the accidents that brought a busy afternoon for tow truck drivers. None of those hurt were thought to have life-threatening injuries.
No citations were issued.
