RHODODENDRON, Ore. -- Highway 26 was temporarily closed near Government Camp Thursday after a semi-truck hauling electronics caught fire.

The truck was westbound near milepost 45 when a tire blew out just before 8 a.m., according to Hood Fire District officials. As the driver was stopping, a fire started near the front of the truck and quickly spread to the trailer.

The driver was able to escape without injury.

The road was closed for several hours while crews towed the vehicle and cleared the debris.
