PORTLAND A woman who was the victim of a violent carjacking in Northeast Portland Wednesday afternoon shared her story with KGW Friday.

Le Kim Ngoc said she was walking to her car parked at Lacrosse Footwear on Airport Way when she was attacked. She said a carjacker punched her in the face before grabbing her keys.

Ngoc fought back and tried to pull the man out of the car before he got away.

The suspect, 18-year-old Devon Mack, was eventually arrested and charged with robbery, eluding police, driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. He was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
