Deputy Cody Lane stopped 50-year-old Shannon Duffy of Brownsville who was driving a work van just before 9 a.m. and cited her for careless driving and driving with a suspended license, said Don Thomson with Marion County Sheriff s Office.

A co-worker came to pick Duffy up shortly before 11 a.m. when a semi-truck with two trailers lost control and crashed into Lane s patrol vehicle, Thomson said.

Michael Dunham, 61, of Oregon City was driving northbound in the semi and lost control on the slippery roads while slowing down for the flashing lights of the patrol vehicle.

Neither Lane nor Dunham was injured in the crash.
