Alaska Airlines and Delta made a joint announcement at Sea-Tac International Airport Monday morning, proposing more service between Seattle andAsia and upgraded amenities.
According to AirlineReporter.com, here is a rundown of some of the changes:
--new nonstop Delta service between Sea-Tac and Shanghai Pu Dong Int'l Airport, and Sea-Tac and Haneda Int'l Airport in Tokyo
--747-400s with upgraded interior and amenities on Delta flights between Sea-Tac and Narita Int'l Airport in Tokyo
--Upgraded 767-300s on Delta flights between Sea-Tac and Paris, Beijing and Osaka
--Additional non-stop flights from Sea-Tac to JFK in New York, with upgraded BusinessElite service
--Improvements to Delta service at Sea-Tac such as lobby rennovations, Delta Sky Club, and more ticket counters
Delta CEORichard Anderson and Alaska Airlines CEOBrad Tilden made the announcement together. The press conference came at the same time Alaska was experiencing a widespread connection outage that caused long lines of passengers.
