BEAVERTON -- About 5,000 customers of Portland General Electric lost power in Beaverton, including portions of Multnomah County Thursday morning. Power was restored to most shortly after 8 a.m. The cause was not available.

Heavy rain and gusty winds swept through the Metro area overnight Wednesday. KGWMeteorologist Nick Allard said temperatures would drop dramatically behind that storm, with the chance of snow in areas above 1,000 feet in the Metro area by Thursday night or Friday morning.
