WOODBURN, Ore. -- A man trespassing on Woodburn High School property fought with police officers and had to be subdued with Tasers Monday, officials said.
Police were called Monday evening to the report of an unauthorized person on the school campus, according to City of Woodburn spokesman Jason Horton.
Officers arrived at the scene and spoke with 22-year-old Rudy Rodriguez-Ortiz, who instantly started acting aggressively, Horton said. The officers said Rodriguez-Ortiz then started fighting them when they attempted to handcuff him.
Rodriguez was tased two times in order to gain compliance and officers were eventually able to take him into custody, Horton said.
Rodriguez-Ortiz and two officers suffered minor injuries in the scuffle. Rodriguez was jailed on charges of assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, as well as a probation warrant for assault.
