PORTLAND Broken glass and possibly mercury were scattered around a Southeast Portland dog park after a group of teenagers reportedly broke neon light tubes early Saturday morning.

According to Sgt. Pete Simpson, police responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday of a group of teenagers in Lents park near Southeast 82nd Street and Southeast Liebe Street.

A city worker swept up the glass but signs warned visitors that broken glass and possibly mercury was on the ground.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact the police.
