PORTLAND -- Police are looking for two robbers who fired a gunshot into a Woodstock neighborhood bank on Saturday morning.

Police said the two robbers were wearing theatrical type masks when they came into the U.S. Bank at SE47th Ave. &Woodstock Blvd. at around 11:30 a.m., fired one round from a handgun into the ceiling, and took an undisclosed amount of money.

They started to pull their hands up and everyone just started screaming in the bank and running, said Jeanette Fancher, who was inside the bank at the time. They yelled 'Stop,' and a gun went off.

No one was seriously injured in the robbery, but there were some tense moments.

There was a bunch of us jammed up in the doors trying to get out, and I fell and hurt my arm on the metal part of the door, Fancher added. There was a woman with a baby... just everyone was running and screaming.

The suspects fled the area in a vehicle, but no description is available. Their masks are described as being black with a long white mouth, with gray hoodies on top.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Portland Police Det. Tony Christensen at 503-224-4181.
