PORTLAND, Ore. -- Forget about summer coming to Portland. More cool weather and rain accompanied the wettest June in history.

The record of over 4 inches of rain was broken Tuesday, KGW Meteorologist Nick Allard said.

The coldest high temperature was also set for 57 degrees. Scattered showers and areas of rain on the east side were forecast along with highs only in the lower 60s.

Allard said Friday should see partly sunny skies with highs getting back into the lower 70s.
