Tickets to attend the public events Thursday were sold out but KGW.com planned to live-stream most public events on the web at www.kgw.com/live-stream and also on its free KGW News apps for mobile and iPad. KGW anchor Laural Porter is the moderator of Thursday's panel discussion on Spirituality and the Environment, and the afternoon public talk by the 14th Dalai Lama.

The event website warned about purchasing tickets from 'third parties' who might try to scalp tickets to sold out events. More: Dalai Lama ticket scalpers inviting bad karma (KGW.com)
