PORTLAND -- The Portland Winterhawks beat the Spokane Chiefs 3-2 Saturday in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, putting them just one win away from a trip to the WHL Finals.
There were 9,486 fans in attendance at the Rose Garden.
Portland took a 3-2 series lead with the win.
Game 6 of the series was scheduled for Monday night in Spokane at 7:05 p.m. If necessary, Game 7 will be in the Rose Garden at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
