PORTLAND -- The Portland Winterhawks have moved past the Kamloops Blazers to become Number 1 in this week's WHL rankings, and they're now the second-ranked team overall in the Canadian Hockey League.

The ranking lists the Top 10 teams in the CHL, with only the Halifax Mooseheads (24-3-0-1) topping the Hawks (23-4-1-0).

Three other WHL teams made it onto the CHL Top 10 list behind the Winterhawks: The Blazers (22-7-1-2) moved down to No. 4, and the Calgary Hitmen (19-6-1-2) and Edmonton Oil Kings (18-5-2-3) came in at 9 and 10, respectively.

The weekly ranking is selected by a panel of National Hockey League scouts.
