PORTLAND – The Portland Thorns soccer team announced its 2013 season-opening roster Monday.

The squad includes high profile players Alex Morgan and Christine Sinclair, as well as experienced national players Rachel Buehler and veteran Canadian goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc.

"Thorns FC enter the regular season with a deep and experienced roster, featuring a total of 15 players with experience at the youth or senior national team level for the United States or Canada," said head coach Cindy Parlow Cone.

Another U.S. Women’s National Team member, midfielder Tobin Heath, is expected to join the roster after completing another contract.

The season starts Saturday at FC Kansas City, with kickoff set for 5:35 p.m. (Pacific). The Thorns FC take on the Seattle Reign FC in their home opener at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at Jeld-Wen Field.
