PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers announced Monday that the team has surpassed 12,000 season tickets sold for its inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2011.
As a result of demand, the team said it had opened up an additional 500 seats for season ticket sales and has established a hard cap of 12,500 for the team’s first MLS season. A waiting list would be started once the 12,500 figure is met.
