4 Timbers players tapped for national teams

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Timbers announced Wednesday that four players will be away from the team because they have been called up by their respective national squads.

Goalkeeper Jake Gleeson of New Zealand will miss Saturday's match against Vancouver and defender Futty Danso of Gambia will miss the Timbers' June 17 match again Los Angeles.

Midfielders Rodney Wallace of Costa Rica and Lovel Palmer of Jamaica will be away from Portland while playing for their countries, but won't miss any league matches.
