PORTLAND -- Major League Soccer in Portland is less than 9 months away and Timbers fans will have plenty of options when it comes to tickets.
PGE Park has about two months left before becoming a soccer-only stadium. Construction will begin in early September.
The Timbers were already using the very latest technology to give soccer fans a look into the future. It’s called Virtual Venue and gives fans an accurate view of every seating section available when the timbers begin play in the MLS. The stadium will have a club lounge on the east side near 18th street. Virtual Venue gives fans a 360 degree view of that lounge and more.
“We’re so excited about the changes we are making here at PGE Park,” said Mike Golub, Chief Operating Officer of the Timbers, “We think it’s going to be the best soccer venue in the country and we wanted to show it to people. So we found what we feel is the state of the art best technology and what it does is create this three dimensional representation of what the stadium will look like next year.”
Fans who want season tickets can put $50 down and get priority status during the seat-selection process.
The MLS season will begin in late March of next year.
