ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- The Seattle Mariners were beaten for the seventh time in nine games by the Texas Rangers last night, losing 4-3 on a sacrifice fly by Michael Young in the eighth inning at Arlington.

Josh Hamilton hit his team-leading 25th homer and collected his major American League-best 104th RBI for the Rangers.

With the score tied at 3, Seattle reliever Arthur Rhodes loaded the bases in the eighth with one-out walks to David Murphy, Hamilton and Marlon Byrd. Young, out of the starting lineup because of a fractured right ring finger, lifted a fly ball to center, and Murphy scored the go-ahead run ahead of Jeremy Reed's throw.

After the tiebreaking run scored, Rhodes was being removed from the game by manager Jim Riggleman. As he walked toward the dugout, Rhodes yelled at home plate umpire Paul Nauert, apparently disputing a checked swing by Byrd on his walk, and Nauert ejected Rhodes.

Rhodes suffered his first loss of the season in three decisions.

Mariners starter Miguel Batista allowed three runs ... two earned ... and seven hits in six innings.

The Mariners end their seven-game road trip at Texas at 5:05 Thursday night, with right-handed knuckleballer R.A. Dickey facing left-hander Matt Harrison.
