Jack says Telfair's departure was a 'mixed blessing'

Trail Blazers point guard Jarrett Jack says he has mixed emotions about teammate Sebastian Telfair's move to the Boston Celtics. AP file photo Chicago Bulls' Jannero Pargo, right, drives past Portland Trail Blazers' Sebastian Telfair. On the one hand, Telfair's departure likely means more playing time for Jack. On the other hand, the two are good friends, and had been developing together. Jack is still recovering from May 12th surgery in which he had scar tissue and loose particles removed from his left ankle. That's kept him out of play during the Vegas Summer League. He says he is hoping that his ankle will be fully healed by August. Jack is hoping to earn the starting point guard spot next season, but he'll have to compete against Steve Blake, who started 57 games last season.
