Former Blazer Miles suspended from NBA
10:04 AM PDT on Thursday, July 3, 2008
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Here's a blast from the past: Former Trail Blazer Darius Miles has been suspended for 10 games, for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy.
No word yet on which substance Miles tested positive for.
But the NBA allows 10 game suspension for a first positive result for performance-enhancing drug, or for the fourth positive test of marijuana.
Players are randomly tested four times a year.
The Blazers waived Miles in April after an independent doctor ruled Miles' injuries to his right knee were career ending.
The suspension could make Miles even less attractive for a team interested in signing him.
