World class athlete and heart attack survivor Alberto Salazar sits down with Newschannel 8.

This, after he went to the hospital for dehydration and high blood pressure a few days ago.

Salazar now coaches a number of high-profile track athletes, and was stressed from preparing five of them for the trials.

He coaches Oregon native Galen Rupp, plus athletes Kara Goucher and Amy Yoder Begley, who qualified for the Olympic team in the 10,000 meters.

Two more Salazar-coached athletes, Adam Goucher and Josh Solinsky qualified for Monday's 5,000 meters final.

Salazar suffered a heart attack on the Nike campus near Beaverton on June 30th last year.

He has been taking heart medication and monitoring his health closely.
