Mariners lose 3rd straight in Houston

The Seattle Mariners got another disappointing performance from their number one starter, Felix Hernandez, in a 5-1 loss to the Astros in Houston Friday night.
The Mariners lost their 3rd straight after a season-high five game winning streak.
21-year-old Hernandez gave up a career-high12 hits and four runs in six innings, seeing his record fall under .500 to 3 and 4. He is 0 and 2 with two no-decisions since winning May 25th at Kansas City.
The Astros tied a season high with 16 hits off four Mariners pitchers. The Mariners didn't help themselves much on offense, collecting only six hits.
Willie Bloomquist accounted for Seattle's run with an inside-the-park homer in the 6th inning. It was Bloomquist's 5th career homer in five seasons with the Mariners.
Ichiro Suzuki's hit in the 6th inning gave him a 10-game hitting streak. It's the 24th 10-game hitting streak of his career, the most by an active major leaguer.
The Mariners will send right-hander Cha Seung Baek against 40-year-old right-hander Woody Williams of the Astros Saturday at 4:05 p.m.
Baek has a 3 and 2 record, with a 5.22 ERA, while Williams is 2 and 9, with a 5.51 ERA. Baek is making his 11th start of the season.
