Kevin Coster pitches in music for UO baseball

The University of Oregon is getting some Hollywood help for its rejuvenated baseball program.
Kevin Costner and his band Modern West will put on two benefit concerts to help build a new ballpark.
The May 30 and 31 shows are at Eugene’s Hult Center.

The baseball program is headed by Costner’s friend, coach George Horton, according to the Eugene Register Guard organizers hope to raise $200,000.
Horton was an assistant coach at California State in Fullerton, which is Costner’s alma mater.
The school needs to raise $20 million for the program.
