KPAM replaces KEX as the school's flagship starting in the 2007-08 season. The station will broadcast an estimated 350 hours of Oregon State sports programming each year.

"We have a loyal and huge fan base in the Portland area and we don't hide the fact that we consider Portland a Beaver city. This new deal will allow us to better serve Portland by doubling our number of hours on the air. We view every radio or television opportunity as a window to the university," athletic director Bob De Carolis said.

KPAM joins KBZY in Salem and KEJO in Albany and Corvallis as part of the Beaver Sports Radio Network, which consists of 26 stations statewide.

KPAM will kick off the new agreement by airing the spring football game on April 28 live from Reser Stadium.
