Symmonds wins silver in 800 at worlds

MOSCOW -- Nick Symmonds finished second Tuesday in the 800 finals at the world track and field championships.

Ethiopian Mohammed Aman was first in 1:43:31, followed by Symmonds at 1:43.55 and Ayanleh Souleiman of Djibouti third in 1:43.76.

American Duane Solomon finished sixth in 1:44.42.

Symmonds finished fifth in the 800 at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
