LONDON – Oregon’s Nick Symmonds will go for gold in the men’s 800 meter in London Thursday.
The runner has won four consecutive U.S. titles in the 800m after runner-up finishes in 2006, 2007.
“Not exactly how I imagined making an Olympic Final but I'll take it,” he Tweeted Tuesday. “Qualified on time in 1:44.87. Racing for a medal Thursday night!”
