EUGENE -- The Olympics are over for Nick Symmonds, so running a mile while chugging four beers was a great way to kick back after the rigors of training for London.
Symmonds ran the mile in 5:15 which was well under Roger Bannister's 4-minute breakthrough. But Bannister didn't have to put down a can of Coors Original every lap.
In the video posted by TMZ, Symmonds shows that he has a designated driver, and at 28, he's old enough to attempt such a feat.
"Have fun, be safe. The beer mile, a great way to end the season," he said.
