LONDON, England - Cyrus Hostetler of Newberg, Oregon threw 75.76 meters in the qualifying rounds of the javelin competition Wednesday at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
His best throw put him in 30th position.

Hostetler attended Newberg High School in Oregon and lives and trains in Eugene.
Earned his first Olympic berth with a fifth-place finish in javelin at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, having achieved the A standard earlier in the season.
Hostetler won silver at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara.
He also worked as a web/graphic designer for the official Olympic Trials website.
