At the age of 16, Rebecca Ward, did something no other fencer had done, becoming the youngest person to ever win a World Championship gold medal in 2006.
The sabre fencer from Beaverton will face off against tough competition in Beijing, including defending Olympic champion Mariel Zagunis of Portland.
Ward got into her sport after wandering into a fencing class accidentally. She's a creative person who, in her spare time, loves photography.
