Willie Taggart is negotiating a deal today that would make him Florida State's next head coach, according to a report by the Orlando Sentinel.
The deal could fall through, but this appears to be the beginning of the end for Taggart's time as Oregon's head football coach. According to the report, Taggart met with FSU officials while in Arizona recruiting for the Ducks.
If he does leave for Florida State, then Oregon will be searching for a new head coach for the second time in 13 months.
According to multiple reports, Taggart's recruiting trip in Texas today on behalf of the Ducks has been rescheduled. Sports recruiting outlet 247Sports.com is reporting that Taggart has set an in-home visit with the recruit for Tuesday morning. There are no other details to suggest exactly what that means.
