EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon Ducks dismissed defensive lineman Austin Maloata after he was arrested early Sunday morning.

Maloata was charged with DUII, reckless driving and possession of methamphetamine, according to a report in the Daily Emerald.

Maloata, a junior, ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle early Sunday morning, the newspaper reported.

He is the second Oregon football player arrested since Nov. 2, when linebacker Eddie Heard was charged with assault and harassment.
