Prepare to be amazed by Nike's LED basketball court

SHANGHAI, China -- Basketball courts have been the same for a long time. Made of wood, with some logos on them, nothing too exciting. But there's a court in China that changes everything.

This is an LED court made by Nike, in partnership with San Francisco-based agency AKQA. They call it the "House of Mamba," named after the "Black Mamba" himself, Kobe Bryant. And it's amazing.

It can light up to show basically anything you would ever want, making for some amazing displays.

But not only can it light up just to look cool, it also has built-in motion sensors.

So it can lead players through training sessions, and track their progress, respond to their mistakes, and display their performance statistics in real-time. It basically makes basketball look like a video game.

The court is part of the Nike RISE campaign, which is giving aspiring basketball players in China the chance to train with LeBron James and Kobe Bryant this summer (it's also an online reality show).

Bryant was in China when they unveiled this crazy floor, and he said he didn't even know something like this was possible. "It's amazing what can be done nowadays," he said. "And I think the potential, the possibilities for the floor are endless."
