PORTLAND -- Ready for takeoff and week one of Friday Night Flights!

I'll be flying Friday night and be at Aloha High School for the season opener between Thurston and Aloha.    This is Chris Casey's final season as head coach for the Warriors. He will then head to George Fox University to help revive their football program.

Senior running back Thomas Tyner should make a big difference for Aloha this fall. He enjoyed an amazing season two years ago and helped lead Aloha to the state championship. Injuries hampered Tyner last season He should have an explosive senior season.

Aloha lost to Thurston last season in the playoffs so they are looking for a little pay back.  I understand they have another great barbecue planned for the season opener at Aloha!

Some of the other games on the flight list are Camas at Oregon City, Gresham at Wilson and Crater at Tualatin.

Friday Night Flights finishing up it's second decade....fly on...and play on!
