Beaverton kicker Tommy Laird helped the Beavers knock off the second-ranked Southridge Skyhawks with a 39 yard field goal.
The kick came with just 19 second left to go in the game, and cleared the crossbar by so much, it probably would have been good from 49 yards out.
Beaverton held on to win 10-7. They will host Westview Friday in a game that is critical for the Beavers playoff hopes.
