Lake Oswego hosts Central Catholic, in a game featuring two of the best teams in the state.
The Lakers are coming off one of their best seasons in years. They fell just short of a championship, losing to Southridge in the title game last December.
This year, Lake Oswego is without star quarterback, Jack Lomax. Former fullback Will Storey takes over behind center. They're loaded with talent, and should be a contender once again.
Central Catholic meanwhile, is hoping for a big season too. They have one of the top rated defenses in the state, with 8 returning starters.
Both coaches agree, they'd rather open up with a tough game,?as a way to get a gauge on their stregths and weaknesses.
Kickoff is set for 7:00 at Lake Oswego High School.
