BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A California-based architectural and design firm has been hired to identify as many as four sites across western New York that could serve as a new home for the Buffalo Bills.

AECOM was selected Tuesday to work with attorney Irwin Raij, who will head Gov. Andrew Cuomo's efforts to secure the franchise's long-term future in the region. The Bills' future is uncertain because they will be put up for sale following Ralph Wilson's death in March.

The firm, which has designed numerous sports facilities around the globe, has until July 11 to produce a feasibility study, which will eventually be distributed to prospective ownership groups.

Aside from evaluating new locations, AECOM also will assess the feasibility of having the Bills continue playing at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
