CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) — A look at Tim Tebow's day at New York Jets training camp:
TEBOW TIME: As he has throughout training camp, Tebow worked with the second-team offense Tuesday during the Jets' second-to-last practice before the preseason opener at Cincinnati on Friday night.
HOW'D HE DO: Tebow was a modest 2 for 3 passing in 11-on-11 team drills and was "sacked" once. He was, however, the "star" of Rex Ryan's punishment sprints, as he was consistently the first one to get from sideline to sideline — with third-string quarterback Greg McElroy close behind him.
TEBOWMANIA: Practice was closed to the public, so there were no cheers, chants or signs in the stands. They'll all be back Wednesday, though, when the fans can watch the last practice before the team leaves for Cincinnati.
TALKING TEBOW: "I knew there would be press, but the interest, even by our standards, this is pretty amazing." — Jets owner Woody Johnson on the amount of attention the team has received because of Tebow's presence.
