Oregon did not have a team in the event. Oregon junior Andrew Wheating won the 800 meters in 1:46.21 to score Oregon's final points of the meet.

The Oregon men were attempting the "triple crown" of track and field, having already won the cross country team title in the fall and the NCAA indoor title in March.

Oregon's women had finished second in the cross country and tied for second at the NCAA indoor meet.
