PORTLAND -- Thousands of dollars in property was stolen from a softball team in North Portland's Delta Park less than a month after a similar burglary at the same park.

Between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday, the Grays Harbor College softball team's van was broken into and an estimated $6,500 worth of property was stolen, according to Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson.

"Items taken include a C-PAP breathing machine, several laptops and various other items of personal property," he said.

On April 28, an Oregon Institute of Technology van was broken into at the same location, and an estimated $5,000 in property was stolen. No arrests were made.

Simpson said there was no indication that the two events were related.

Anyone with information about either theft was asked to call Portland police or leave a tip via email.
