Pilots women dominate in NCAA soccer oopener

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Four different players had goals for Portland in a 4-0 victory over Denver in a first-round NCAA women's tournament game.
Dannielle Foxhoven, Sophie Schmidt, Taylor Brooke and Kendall Johnson all scored for the second-seeded Pilots, who won their 12th straight match.
Portland, which won NCAA titles in 2002 and 2005, is 19-1 this season.
The Pilots will play its second-round match Sunday against Washington, which defeated Ole Miss 1-0 earlier Friday.
