(AP) — Danielle Foxhoven and Kendra Chandhoke each scored twice and Portland beat Virginia Tech 4-1 in a third round match of the NCAA soccer tournament.
Second-seeded Portland (21-1-0) advances to the quarterfinals with the victory. The Pilots will face top-seeded UCLA.
Julian Johnson scored the lone goal for Virginia Tech (16-8-0).
Notre Dame's Rose Augustin scored the lone goal and ended Oregon State's run in the NCAA women's soccer tournament with a 1-0 victory in a third-round match.
The Beavers, who finished 14-8-1, were making their first-ever appearance in the round of 16.
Augustin's goal came in the 61st minute Friday night for the second-seeded Irish, who are 20-3-1.
